Hello Dear friends and supporters!!
New York in the fall is always a welcome change from the muggy, smelly summers! This fall, however, seems particularly splendid! Perhaps after having been shaken up a bit by Irene, there is a freshness about the city that feels like gentle entree into the winter!
As some of you know, I have been sidelined by a significant injury to my pinky on the right hand. I severed a tendon in an odd freak accident with a glass on August 15th. August 26 I had surgery to correct the tendon, and it’s been slow going since!
If ever there were an example that the WHOLE is affected by it’s individual part, this has been one! One never knows how important a part is, until the whole can no longer function without! Anyway.. instead of using this down time to write and read in order to be properly prepared for a new season of Suppers for Six, I have been feeling sorry for myself and eating all kids of crap!! Ahhh!! Lessons to learn!!
Two months of hiatus later, I am READY to get back into the swing of things!!! My pinky can hit the return key on the keyboard, I can lift pots and pans, slice and dice and do all the shopping!!
The fall and winter season of Suppers For Six, brought to you by Bring The Body Holistic Health Coaching, Inc., will be starting off with a seminar and supper on WHOLE FOODS.
What is all the hub and bub about whole foods anyway??? Why should we go out of our way to eat foods that are less processed? What exactly does it mean to eat whole foods? Isn’t a cheese doodle a whole cheese doodle??? What if I eat those “Healthy” cheese doodles??? Where do I buy whole foods? What do I do with them after I have bought them??? These and other basic questions will be explored all fall long here in this blog, and at my dinner table! Please stay tuned for dates for the next suppers coming up!
